Senior Product Manager
Greenshades Senior Product Managers are responsible for executing Agile based software development across multiple product verticals whilst executing with a missionary mentality toward their products and scrum teams. Senior level PMs are expected to have skills and attributes that expand their reach far beyond their direct scrum teams, thus enabling them to drive discovery, partnership, and analysis at a strategic level for go to market planning and execution.
The Product Management Department aims to hire professionals that have a combination of hard and soft skills that are valuable within a development organization. These professionals should expect to interact, manage, and communicate effectively across departmental boundaries, to external partners, and directly with users of the product. They should feel comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Structure and processes are crucial. At a growth centered company like Greenshades, a result driven PM that is agile and flexible is essential to ensure they are properly prioritizing the enhancements that will enable new revenue and maintain a high level of satisfaction for the active customer base every single day.
Responsibilities
- Define and develop the product strategy / roadmap to drive targeted business outcomes in alignment with top level corporate strategies / goals.
- Identify new product features to solve problems that current and prospective clients are facing, through collected information via interactions with clients, sales, implementations, or other functional internal or external departments.
- Nurture the technical relationships with key customers through various avenues (i.e. conducting voice of the customer feedback sessions).
- Daily leadership and management of the Sprinting or KanBan processes of assigned scrum teams.
- Present complex information, issues, processes, and potential solutions in an organized and summarized fashion to leadership, interested parties, and team members with the goal of producing buy in and cross team alignment.
- Constructs detailed product documentation in the form of release notes, internal / external product deliverables, external facing knowledge base articles, and more.
- Identify market opportunities and build business cases, including financial estimates, to own the P&L
- Fosters a trusted, skilled, and engaged development workforce.
- Create User Story definitions and specifications, which will in turn define the “what to build” and “why we should build it” side of the development cycle.
- Define, analyze, and manage metrics that track the success of managed products (KPIs)
- Effectively and efficiently communicate product changes both internally for stakeholders and externally for users.
- Role Specific - Expected to be intimately involved in the design process of integrations we build or support. Will speak and document technical details in the same language as their developers on the team.

- Working knowledge of the Payroll and HCM software market, with an intermediate level of core payroll and tax concepts.
- Role Specific - Requires the ability to understand not only the integration layer but also the core products and business processes those integrations support.
- Role Specific – Will quickly grasp product capabilities, customer use cases, and the technical details of APIs, authentication models, event-driven workflows, and data schemas that connect our systems.
- Role Specific – Must be comfortable reading API documentation, understanding JSON payloads, data mapping, error handling, and working closely with engineers to validate integration approaches.
Preferred Training and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in STEM or technical concentration, or equivalent work experience for a similar timeframe in a relevant industry, is required.
- A minimum of 5+ years of experience in a software development environment, preferably as a Product Owner, Product Manager, Business Analyst, or equivalent, with an HCM or Payroll industry focus.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing winning technology strategies within a large, complex organization.
- Proven track record overseeing all aspects of large-scale projects including planning, requirements gathering, resource management and budget.
- Experience in Agile based software development.
- Technical knowledge of Information Technology field, software development, and computer systems.
- Familiarity with the following Product Management and/ or software development toolsets; Azure DevOps, SQL Syntax, Pendo, Miro / Figma / Lucid, and Postman
- Role Specific – Has been a key member of a full life cycle from planning to maintenance of a SaaS based integration.
- Role Specific – Direct experience building and supporting restful integration development work.
