Job Summary 

We are seeking an experienced EDI Operations Specialist to manage and support the EDI integration processes as well as project coordination for custom development requests.  In this role, you’ll be responsible for managing the implementation of EDI in collaboration with our data and development team & coordinating professional service projects. 

This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and communications with clients and internal teams. 

Key Responsibilities 

  1. Client Consultation: 
    • Conduct calls with clients to review, understand, gather, and document requirements.  
  2. Data Management: 
    • EDI: Oversee the importing & reconciliation of employee and dependent election data using structured templates. 
    • Gather specifications for custom development work to create the statement of work the development team will use to build custom solutions.  
  3. Issue Resolution: 
    • Serve as the first point of contact for data discrepancies or structure issues, escalating to the Development as needed. 
    • Troubleshoot SFTP credential issues and ensure timely resolution to maintain automated data exchanges. 
  4. Project Coordination: 
    • Initiate new projects by gathering necessary documents and setting up initial configurations. 
    • Manage the setup and testing of basic EDI configurations in workspace tools, ensuring correct permissions and settings. 
    • Manage project timelines and scope. 
  5. Development Coordination: 
    • Create detailed Project Backlog Items (PBIs) for complex EDI logic requiring development intervention. 
    • Act as a liaison between development teams and clients to clarify requirements and provide necessary information for project completion. 
  6. Testing and Feedback: 
    • Conduct testing of EDI files in internal environments, providing feedback to the development team. 
    • Submit test files to providers and facilitate feedback sessions to refine and finalize EDI integrations. 
  7. Client Communication: 
    • Maintain ongoing communication with clients, providing regular updates on project status and addressing concerns. 
    • Handle escalations and manage expectations regarding timelines and deliverables. 
  8. Documentation and Reporting: 
    • Document all processes, configurations, and client interactions to ensure transparency and continuity. 
    • Provide regular reports on project progress, highlighting any issues or delay
  9. Other duties as assigned

Qualifications 

  • Proven experience with EDI. 

  • Proficient in excel (vlookup, pivot tables)  

  • Experience with Adobe LiveCycle or similar PDF editor/designer software.  

  • Experience gathering and documenting client requirements  

  • Excellent project management and organizational skills. 

  • Strong communication and customer service skills. 

  • Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and process improvement.
